Leora Davis, MS, RD
Leora Davis is a registered dietitian. She received her Master’s in Applied Physiology and Nutrition from Teacher’s College, Columbia University. She is experienced in helping both individuals and entire families solve their nutrition conundrums, manage their nutrition related diseases including diabetes, hypertension, hypercholesterolemia, obesity, and eating disorders, and balance the nutritional needs and preferences of each member of the family. Leora enjoys working on behavioral changes and exploring strategies that can aid in reaching long term nutrition goals. She has also worked as a personal trainer, where she designed and implemented individualized fitness/exercise programs for individuals, and firmly believes that by combining both a balanced nutrition plan and regular (enjoyable) exercise we can all lead longer, healthier, and happier lives.

SPORTS AND PERSONAL INTERESTS:
Leora believes in the “big picture” of nutrition, exercise and health. She works step by step with each individual client to educate them on the powers of and easy with which they can achieve proper, balanced nutrition; then she designs long term plans which combine the tools of knowledge and motivation together to help her clients reach their goals. She has seen the best success in her clients when together they set and achieve reachable goals before moving on together to the next set of goals. As clients achieve success every step of the way motivation and healthy habits build on each other and penetrate all aspects of life.
PHILOSOPHY:
Leora has always been an athlete playing basketball and softball throughout her school years. She began running about two years ago and now cannot imagine her life without it. Leora enjoys cooking and experimenting with new recipes, substitutions, meals and snack ideas. |
